In a world where almost everything is made by machines in seconds, a NoorLune piece takes hours. Sometimes days.

We want to show you what goes into every cardigan, bag and bouquet — because when you know how something is made, you value it differently.

It begins with a single stitch

Every NoorLune piece starts the same way: with one loop of yarn and a crochet hook. There are no machines that can truly crochet — every single stitch you see is made by human hands.

That’s not a marketing line. It’s simply how crochet works.

Step 1: Choosing the yarn

We start by choosing yarns that feel soft, hold their shape and look beautiful for years. For our pieces we work with Wool Yarn, soft cotton yarn and Acrylic Yarn.

We choose our colours carefully, too: ivory, soft neutrals and gentle shades that feel timeless rather than trendy. A NoorLune piece should look as good in five years as it does today.

Step 2: The design

Every design begins as an idea, often a sketch. For pieces like our Chaandni Hexagon Cardigan, we first make a sample to test the shape, the drape and the fit before anything is made for customers.

For personalised and custom orders, this is where your ideas come in — your colours, your initials, your measurements.

Step 3: Stitch by stitch

This is the heart of it. Our makers in [city], Pakistan, crochet each piece by hand.

  • A hexagon cardigan is made from many individual hexagons, each crocheted separately, then joined together by hand. It takes around 50 hours.
  • A flower bag begins as dozens of petals, each made one by one, then assembled into flowers, then into a bag — around 20 hours.
  • A bouquet is crocheted stem by stem and petal by petal — around 3 hours.

Often, the work happens in the calm of the evening, when the day’s noise has faded. That’s where our name — moonlight — comes from.

Step 4: Finishing

When the crocheting is done, the piece is far from finished. Every end is woven in by hand so nothing comes loose. Pieces are shaped and checked carefully: the stitches, the seams, the size.

Because every piece is handmade, no two are ever exactly alike. Tiny variations aren’t flaws — they’re proof a person made it.

Step 5: Wrapped with care

Finally, your piece is wrapped and packed with a handwritten note before it begins its journey from Pakistan to you, wherever you are in the world.

Why it takes time

We could make things faster. But faster would mean cheaper materials, rushed work and pieces that don’t last. We’d rather make fewer things, and make them well.

When you buy a NoorLune piece, you’re not just buying a cardigan or a bag. You’re buying 30 hours of someone’s skill, patience and care.

Meet the hands behind NoorLune

NoorLune is a family. Every piece is made by my mother and my sister. My mother has crocheted for as long as I can remember, and my sister learned from her. Today they work side by side, at home in Pakistan.

Made for you

Many of our pieces are made to order — which means yours is made just for you, after you order it. If you have an idea of your own, we’d love to create it.
